Welcome

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." -- Philippians 4:13

This scripture has held a special meaning for me throughout my life. In the twenty-four years of church work ministry with the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod, I have enjoyed teaching in the classroom, working in the world synodical headquarters, and also serving as church secretary.

This is my 12th year at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School. I currently serve as the 4th grade teacher of 20 wonderful students and their supportive families. I also serve as the Team Leader for the faculty in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. I am responsible for teaching a self-contained classroom of the basic subject areas of 4th grade: Religion, Math, Language, Spelling, Literature, and Health.  This year, I will teach Science to both 4th grade classes and Mrs. Olsen will teach Social Studies. The students go to "specials" such as P.E., Music, Art, Library, Spanish, and Technology classes during their busy week of academics.

I am a college graduate of Concordia Lutheran University, Austin, Texas.  In the summer of 2005, I earned a Master of Education in the course study of Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.  I am a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church where I serve as a summer VBS teacher and I am on the Fellowship Committee.

My husband, Bob, is retired law enforcement and an avid outdoorsman.  He served the city of Kirby as Chief of Police and other positions in the department for over 15 years.

My oldest son, Cary Fullen, will be serving his 3rd tour in Iraq with the USAF Special Forces in late spring.  He and his wife, Jana, reside in Colorado Springs, CO.  Jana is currently awaiting her student teaching semester at Texas A & M University in the fall, 2008.

My youngest son, John Fullen, is a Sophomore at San Jacinto College in Houston.  He plans to continue a degree in criminal justice at Texas State in San Marcos in the fall of 2008.

I am so pleased that you have joined the family at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School.

that in itself is a choice." -- William James
