Welcome to 3rd grade at Shepherd of the Hills!

 

*This is my 27th year of teaching in Lutheran schools. I've been a part of the Christian education ministry here at SHLS over 10 years now and thank God for every minute of it!  It is a true blessing to work with Mrs. Dominguez in 3rd grade.

 

*I received a BS in Education from Concordia University in Seward, NE, in 1975, and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia, Austin, in 2003.

 

*Some other areas that I am involved in here are: Sunday morning greeting, Christ Care, and Together in the Word Leader.

 

*Lutheran schools hold a very dear place in my heart. I was blessed to attend one from kinder through 8th grade. My 3rd and 4th grade teacher is the one who inspired me to go into this field. Thanks, John Goeke!!

 

*I believe that all children can learn and that learning is a lifetime, joyful endeavor.

 

*I have 3 children: Amber, 29, who is married, lives in New Jersey, and works as an inventory specialist for Party City; Travis, 27, who is in a band, works in my brother's restaurant, and assists his father in designing cafterias and kitchens for Texas schools; and Michael, 22, who knows a lot about cars, sometimes sings in Travis' band, and works at Fort Sam. 

 

*In my free time, I enjoy live music and the company of friends and horses.
