Welcome to the 2007-2008 School Year! May the Lord's abundant blessings cover us in our daily work for Him, and may we exemplify Jesus in all we do!
This year I begin my 7th year teaching middle schoolers at Shepherd. Each year I find that I continue to be amazed at how much I learn from my students and how much they make me laugh.
My teaching schedule this year includes Life Science-grade 7, Earth Science-grade 8, Religion-grade 8, and Journalism-grades 6-7-8.
My teacher education includes my BS Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education Degree), with specialization in 7th and 8th Grade Life and Earth Sciences, from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
I have been married for 20 years to my husband, Brian Ellis, who is a 25-year employee of the University of Texas Health Science Center.
I am a member of the congregation at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, where I am a Stephen Minister, a Sunday Morning Worship Center Greeter, and a past-leader of a Women's Bible Study group.
In addition to teaching and the sciences and my husband, my interests include traveling, writing, gardening, walking, movies, the theater, numerous nephews and nieces, and my 5 adopted cats.
