I am thankful you linked to my staff page, and I am also glad that you are interested in discovering more about Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, School & Childcare.   

Before my arrival to Shepherd of the Hills in June 2006, I was a Director of Youth and Family Ministries at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Bellevue, Nebraska, for four years.   

I love working with teenagers and their families, and I consider it a privilege to have that honor at Shepherd of the Hills. Specifically, I spend my time affirming, teaching, leading, and guiding sixth through twelfth grade students, their families, and the caring adult volunteers who work with them. A relevant background comes with my passion for working with young people:

• Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska
• Certified Director of Christian Education
• Master of Science in Family Life Ministry from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska
• Current Doctoral Student in Organizational Leadership at University of the Incarnate Word

In my free time, I like to work out, bike, run, read, watch movies, listen to music, and hang out with friends. You might also catch me teaching a Spinning Class at our local Prue-Spectrum Athletic Club.

I am married to Brandon, who is an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. We do not yet have kids, but we greatly enjoy walking with the young people entrusted to our care.

Youth ministry is all about a relational journey with each other and with Jesus Christ. It is about providing love, guidance, and support to young people and letting them know that Jesus Christ is with them always.
