Become a Lutheran Social Services Foster In Texas parent and transform the life of a child! You may not be aware of the desperate need for foster families in the San Antonio area, and the growing number of children waiting for safe and loving homes. In just the last few months, we have experienced a significant increase in children entering foster care due to severe abuse and neglect, with an average of 140 referrals of children in need per month. Often these children must be placed outside of the San Antonio area and separated from their siblings due to limited availability of foster homes, adding more trauma to their already traumatized lives. Which is why we are reaching out to the community – reaching out to YOU – to help.

Our most pressing demand is for families willing to take sibling groups of three or more, teenagers, and children with special or primary medical needs. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you, your congregation, organization, or group about how to become involved and make a difference in the lives of these children. Any assistance you can give us in locating homes, volunteering, or through donations would be greatly appreciated!
