In the Pre-Kindergarten classroom our learning is centered around the Letter of the Week.  Throughout the week our centers, arts and craft projects, Language Arts lessons, story time, math, science, social studies, fine motor skills, music, PE, and technology will incorporate the letter and sound into all of the lessons.  For example, during "C" week we enjoy the following activities:

Math:  counting cotton balls, and spots on a caterpillar

Language Arts:  activities with cowboys, cats, and caterpillars

Science:  colorful Caroline explored changing colors

Centers:  cooking, clothespin counting, cakes, card matching, cookie cutters, caps

Story time:  If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Corduroy, Chrysanthemum, Caps for Sale, The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Arts and Crafts:  cactus puppets, cake decorating, caterpillars, clay

Every day we also enjoy Jesus Time and our socialization revolves around learning to be more like Jesus every day.
