1. Be in your assigned seat or area ready to work when class begins.
Students enter the classroom efficiently and follow the MAP (materials, attitude, placement) directions to be ready to learn.
2. Bring/have paper, pencils, books, and all needed supplies every day.
Students plan and prepare by having all the materials—supplies, textbooks, binders, reading books—that will help them succeed and learn.
3. Keep hands, feet, books, and objects to yourself.
Students are expected to avoid distracting themselves or others from learning.
4. Use Christ-like words and actions. Profanity, rude gestures, bullying, cruel teasing, or put-downs are not permitted.
Christ-like words and actions should be evident in all aspects of a Christian's life. Students are expected to be Christ-like with everyone they encounter throughout the day—teachers, staff, parents, and peers.
5. Follow the directions of any adult working at Shepherd of the Hills.
Our entire staff—administrators, teachers, coaches, cafeteria staff, bus drivers, substitute teachers—is dedicated to fulfilling our mission statement and doing what it is in the best interest of our students. Therefore, students are expected to follow their directions.
