Welcome to First Grade!
This year's theme is "Bloom where God has planted you". As first graders and children of God, we will be learning so much and blooming and growing into successful and positive learners.
Children in the first grade can look forward to learning many new and fun ideas like adding, subtracting, reading, and writing. We'll learn about people, communities, and being good citizens. We'll explore living things, habitats, and the land around us.We will observe things that are moving and working, growing and changing, and the weather. In every aspect of our classroom, we will learn about Jesus!
As we continue to blossom we will be able to participate in many learning experiences such as:
- Field trips to the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Witte Museum, Devine Acres Farm, the San Antonio Food Bank and Cibolo Nature Center
- Collaborative online projects such as the O.R.E.O. Project and Hands Around the World project
- Christmas Snapshots Musical
- Wax Museum Biographies
I am really looking forward to helping and watching your child grow.
