Greetings in the name of our Lord and risen Savior, Jesus Christ. What an awesome God we have – to be known to Him by name is truly an everlasting blessing.

My family and I have been here at Shepherd for seventeen years and I was blessed to become Property Manager for Shepherd of the Hills after retiring from the Air Force.  My beautiful and talented wife, Soona, and I have been married for 24 years. She is from Seoul, South Korea and loves to decorate with flowers.

I grew up on a farm near small town in south central Nebraska. Farming, Grade “A” dairy, and school occupied my time. Farming is still dear to my heart. I attended Trinity Lutheran School through the 8th grade. After graduating from Blue Hill High School in 1967, I went to the University of Nebraska – Lincoln for a while and then “joined” the military in 1969. Twenty four years later, I retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and began to realize more fully the reason for the military bringing us to San Antonio – God had a plan. His plan included: my employment; Soona realizing her talents as a flower designer for the church for many years; the ability for Jackie to attend and graduate from Shepherd of the Hills School, later from Lutheran High School in San Antonio, and most recently University of Texas, San Antonio. 

My most recent joy has been working with Lutheran High School of San Antonio and helping them realize thier dream of a new gym and classroom building which is currently under construction.  They have a web cam set up and can be viewed via thier website at www.lhssa.org and clicking on Construction Camera.
