Greetings in the name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ!
I serve as the Director of School Ministry at Shepherd of the Hills and it is my blessing to serve as the pastor to our school students and their families. I lead our School Chapel Worship Service every Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. and pre-school chapel for our youngest children on Thursdays at 9:15a.m. Visitors are always welcomed to join us! I also teach 8th grade religion classes, lead faculty devotions, and work with our students on a variety of issues facing them in their young lives.
On Saturdays at 6:00 p.m., I help lead our Prime Time Praise (PTP) worship service. PTP is Shepherd of the Hill's weekly contemporary worship service; it is centered on God’s Word and accompanied by upbeat and reflective music. I also partner with Pastor Chris Kennedy to help lead 'CrossWalk' - a contemporary service that is held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 11:00a.m.in our school gym.
I also oversee SHLC's Sunday School program. Each Sunday, children, ages 2 - 5th grade meet at 9:30a.m. in the school cafeteria for a rousing opening of singing, devotion and fun. The children then head off with the small group leaders to explore God’s Word. Sunday School is held every Sunday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Prior to God’s leading me to Shepherd of the Hills, I enjoyed a 23-year career at USAA in San Antonio. I have a Bachelors degree in Business Mgmt. from OLLU, having also attended Texas A&M Univ. for 2 ½ years. In 2005, I completed my certification as a Commissioned Minister of Religion through the LCMS Colloquy Program. I am currently pursuing my pastoral ordination through the LCMS Specific Ministry Pastor program (SMP).
My wife Nancy and I have been married 31 years, and are blessed with two wonderful sons, and a beautiful granddaughter.
